The Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) has formally received its recognitions at the 2025 WURI Global Ranking Awards held at Tongmyong University, Busan, South Korea from September 24–26, 2025. The awarding ceremonies honored DSSC’s remarkable placement in the global rankings earlier announced this year.
The College is honored to be ranked 342nd in the Global Top 400 Innovative Universities, 35th in Ethics and Integrity (A6), 38th in Industrial Application (A3), and 25th in University Brand and Reputation (B8). These awards show that DSSC is becoming more well-known around the world and is dedicated to innovation, ethical leadership, and academic success.
Representing the College, Dr. Ana Marie J. Matalines, Director of the International Affairs and Relations Office, accepted the plaque for DSSC’s place in the Global Top 400. Dr. Queenie Lyn G. Almerez, Director of Extension and Community Relations, received the plaque for Ethics and Integrity; Prof. Rhea Mae L. Perito, faculty and WURI presenter, accepted the recognition for Industrial Application; and Prof. Roel Jr. D. Apas, faculty and WURI presenter, received the award for University Brand and Reputation.
In addition to receiving the awards, DSSC delegates also presented the College’s innovative programs before international universities. These presentations showcased the institution’s transformative initiatives that address real-world needs while building strong academic and community impact.
This milestone symbolizes DSSC's official acknowledgment on the world stage, making the College a rising leader in higher education and showing how committed it is to integrity, innovation, and diversity.
