Davao del Sur State College conducted its regular Monday Convocation on February 16, 2026, at the DSSC Gymnasium. Students, faculty members, and staff gathered for the weekly campus assembly.
The value focus for the week is decisiveness. The topic was introduced during the program to guide the College community in its daily responsibilities and institutional work.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Siverlyn Camposano presented the week-long schedule for the College’s 7th Founding Anniversary Celebration. The celebration began on February 14 and will conclude on February 21. She outlined the planned activities and reminded the community of their participation and coordination in the events.
In her message, College President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes spoke about the importance of careful and shared decision-making within the institution. She emphasized that decisions in the College are not made individually but through consultation and collective discussion. “Every decision in the college is made collectively. Decisions must be decided well,” she said, reminding the community that sound judgment and responsibility are essential in both academic and administrative work.
The convocation served as a venue for campus updates and values formation as the College continues its activities for the anniversary week.
The regular Monday convocation relates to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) through consistent academic coordination and Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by promoting responsible leadership and structured decision-making within the institution.
