TESDA Davao del Sur Conducts Inspection for DSSC RCIC’s Barista Micro-Credential Course Application

The TESDA Davao del Sur Provincial Office visited the DSSC Regional Coffee Innovation Center on September 15, 2026, to inspect and validate the facility’s readiness for a Micro-Credential Course in Barista.

The visit came after the center submitted and cleared the documentary requirements for the application. TESDA then moved to the site itself, checking the training facilities, equipment, tools, consumables, and instructional materials against the prescribed standards for the course.

For the RCIC, the inspection is a step toward formalizing what the center has been building: a training program grounded in the coffee industry’s actual demands, with credentials that carry weight outside the college.

The program backs SDG 4 (Quality Education) by offering skills training that matches industry requirements, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by helping more people gain recognized coffee industry certificates, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through the link between DSSC and the TESDA Davao del Sur Provincial Office.
