Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) further strengthened its commitment to internationalization through the International Affairs and Relations Office (IARO) in the ATU-Net International Staff Week 2026 held on August 17–19, 2026, at Phenikaa University, Hanoi, Vietnam.
Anchored on the theme “Universities as Impact Hubs – Advancing Learning, Innovation and Sustainable Development,” the three-day international gathering brought together higher education professionals from ATU-Net member institutions to exchange knowledge, benchmark practices, and build meaningful partnerships across borders.
The participation provided valuable insights into internationalization, digital mobility and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), quality assurance, industry collaboration, applied research, artificial intelligence, sustainable development, and global partnerships.
More importantly, the engagement went beyond learning. It became an opportunity to put DSSC on the international table. Representing the College, Instr. Cydeah Aldic Conchas from the College of Business Education and Governance (CBEG), shared the College’s growing internationalization initiatives with other participants, including student and faculty mobility, international partnerships, COIL, collaborative research, and other global engagement efforts, while exploring opportunities for future collaboration with international counterparts.
From Davao del Sur to Hanoi, Vietnam, DSSC continues to step beyond borders, not only to learn from the world, but also to showcase what DSSC can contribute to it.
The participation also contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 for Quality Education; SDG 9 for Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and; SDG 17 for Partnerships for the Goals, through capacity-building, innovation, knowledge exchange, and strengthened international partnerships.
